ANTIQUE MALL AND FAMILY HISTORY
Pamela Bowman opened The Hillsboro Antique Mall at its first location in 1988. When her husband, David, joined her in the business, they purchased the buildings on South Waco Street in Hillsboro and adopted the new name, The Original Hillsboro Antique Mall. They will celebrate their twentieth year of business at their present location in June of 2010.
David and Pamela have been married for thirty-nine years and reared their three sons, Isaac, Benjamin and Israel, on a sixty-two acre farm just west of Hillsboro. Pamela home schooled her three sons through the first twelve years of their educations. Now, Israel and Megan Bowman of Hillsboro have David and Pamela’s grand-daughter, Evelyn, two. Their grandson, Jack, five months, is the son of Isaac and Jennifer Bowman of Dallas. Benjamin is single and owner of Benjamin Asher Photography www.BenjaminAsher.net of Hillsboro.
Pamela is, also, co-owner of an estate sale business with her sister, Shauna Patton. Those Three Sisters Estate Sale Services www.ThoseThreeSisters.com has served the needs of Hillsboro and surrounding communities for over a decade.
Pamela owns and operates The Annex Salon www.TheAnnexSalon.com located just around the corner from the antique mall. Her newest salon, Salon 110, will be opening in late spring.
Six years ago, David. Pamela and two sons moved from their farm to loft apartments above their downtown businesses. The move gives their close-knit family more quality time together and allows more opportunities for their love of travel, especially to France and Italy.
